Dubai: Saudi German Health UAE has announced the launch of the ‘Caring Like Family’ healthcare awards, with a cash prize of AED 500,000 ($136,000) to be awarded to winners across three categories. The awards aim to acknowledge the contributions of healthcare professionals who have been working tirelessly to provide care to their patients and families across the UAE. The categories of the awards include the Best Healthcare Professional, Best Healthcare Initiative, and the Batterjee Award for Influential Healthcare Leader.
The Best Healthcare Professional Award will honor physicians, dentists, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, physiotherapists, laboratory and radiology technicians, academic teachers, hospital administrators, quality, human resources, finance, and health informatics professionals. The first three winners will be awarded gold, silver, and bronze, with cash prizes worth AED 40,000, AED 20,000, and AED 10,000, respectively.
The awards are instituted under the patronage of the Dubai Health Authority, Ministry of Health and Prevention, and Department of Health. Nominations for the awards will be accepted from March 1 from all healthcare organizations across the UAE, except Saudi German Health and the winners will be announced in September. The awards have already been launched in Egypt and will soon be launched in Saudi Arabia as well.
SobhiBatterjee, Chairman and Founder of Saudi German Health said that “Caring Like Family” is not just a company slogan, but a way of living at Saudi German Health. Dr. Reem Osman, Regional CEO, of Saudi German Health, added that the awards would be a small contribution to acknowledge the efforts of healthcare professionals who have touched human lives in the country.
Dr. Osman also stated that the group would have external judges to choose the winners and that nominations would be accepted through the Saudi German Hospital Awards website. She encouraged other organizations and professionals to implement the motto of caring like family and said that the employees of Saudi German Health would not be considered for the awards.
