As part of UAE Innovation Month, Fujairah Hospital, under Emirates Health Services (EHS), celebrated 10 years since the launch of the UAE’s Year of Innovation with the “Innovation Through AI Vision” exhibition
The event, held from February 19-20, 2025, brought together key stakeholders in healthcare, technology, and research to highlight advancements in digital transformation and sustainability. With 41 innovative projects and 10 scientific research studies on display, the exhibition reinforced Fujairah Hospital’s commitment to pioneering AI-driven solutions in healthcare.
Dr. Ahmed Obaid Al Khadeim, Director of Fujairah Hospital, opened the event by emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence in revolutionizing the medical field. He acknowledged AI’s transformative impact, particularly in predictive analytics, personalized medicine, and operational efficiency. Additionally, he underscored the significance of nurturing young talent and fostering collaborations to drive sustainable advancements in healthcare.
One of the standout features of the event was the launch of the hospital’s first-ever Hackathon for innovative digital solutions. This initiative provided a platform for participants to develop AI-powered solutions aimed at addressing challenges in hospital data management and service delivery. According to Amina Mahmood Ahmed, Head of Quality & Excellence, the Hackathon sparked groundbreaking ideas that could significantly enhance patient care and operational workflows.
The exhibition also featured interactive workshops led by industry experts, providing hands-on training in AI applications, robotics, and healthcare analytics. These sessions encouraged professionals and students alike to explore the possibilities of AI-driven healthcare solutions and their practical implementation in a clinical setting.
Dr. Aysha Naser Al Noami, Assistant Director of Financial Affairs and Head of the Innovation and Talent Committee at Fujairah Hospital, played a key role in highlighting the financial and strategic aspects of AI integration in healthcare. She discussed how aligning financial strategies with innovation could enhance service efficiency and improve patient outcomes. Dr. Al Noami also emphasized the importance of cultivating a culture of continuous learning and innovation to sustain the momentum of digital transformation.
