DOCKTOUR, the collaborative maritime-medical initiative by AD Ports Group and Burjeel Holdings, has provided crucial support to Angola’s healthcare sector through a donation of 800,000 essential medicines.
The consignment, comprising essential antibiotics, pain relief medications, and treatments for chronic illnesses, was officially handed over via Angola’s Ministry of Health and distributed in the presence of Dr. Silvia Lutucuta, Angolan Minister of Health, along with UAE dignitaries. Mohamed Eidha Al Menhali, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group, and Safeer Ahamed, Co-CEO of Burjeel Holdings, attended the ceremony alongside officials from both countries, highlighting the joint commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery and fostering international collaboration.

Dr. Silvia Lutucuta expressed gratitude for the generous support, noting that Angola and the UAE share a common vision of strengthening and enhancing healthcare systems. She emphasized that the donation reflects the spirit of partnership between the two nations and highlighted that such collaboration helps advance the health and wellbeing of their communities.

The donated medicines are commonly used to treat acid-related disorders, diabetes, bacterial infections, allergies, hypertension, and cardiovascular conditions, addressing a range of critical healthcare needs.
