Saluda Medical Appoints Barry Regan as President and CEO

Saluda Medical

Saluda Medical has named Barry Regan as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 14, 2025. Regan, a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors, most recently served as Executive Vice President of Global Operations at Dexcom. Prior to Dexcom, he held senior leadership roles including SVP of Global Operations at Wright Medical, and positions at Smith+Nephew, AbbVie, and Abbott.

Regan succeeds Jim Schuermann and joins Saluda at a pivotal moment as the company advances its innovative approach to spinal cord stimulation (SCS) and neuromodulation. At Dexcom, Regan led strategic capital investments to scale manufacturing operations for continuous glucose monitoring technology—experience that aligns with Saluda’s growth trajectory.

“We are thrilled to welcome Barry to Saluda and are fortunate to augment our leadership team with his extensive experience at a critical juncture,” said Doug Godshall, Chairman of Saluda Medical’s Board of Directors. “With the recent appointments of Mike Mathias as Chief Commercial Officer and Jim Erickson as Chief Financial Officer, Saluda is well-positioned with a team of seasoned and driven leaders to realize our vision of advancing scientifically-based spinal cord stimulation through our dose-controlled, closed-loop platform.”

Headquartered in Minneapolis, Saluda Medical is the developer of the Evoke system, a closed-loop SCS platform designed to treat chronic pain. The company raised $100 million earlier this year to accelerate commercialization and support ongoing development.

“I am honored to lead Saluda at such an exciting time,” said Regan. “I look forward to working closely with the leadership team and board to continue positioning Saluda as a new standard in neuromodulation and making a lasting difference in the lives of patients with chronic neurological conditions.”
