Cigna Insurance Middle East, a global health services company dedicated to helping people improve their health, well-being and peace of mind, clinched the Health Insurance Company of the Year Award at the 6th Middle East Insurance Industry Awards (MIIA). The distinction acknowledged Cigna’s proactive and holistic approach to supporting health and well-being – not just when it comes to its clients and members, but the community as a whole.
Cigna representatives received the award at a ceremony that took place earlier this month. This year, the Middle East Insurance Awards awarded organizations that focused on customer centricity and provided a seamless experience for consumers seeking reliable and quality service.

As a premier provider of health and wellness solutions, Cigna Insurance Middle East has over the past year, launched its yearly Cigna 360° Well-Being Survey – driving a national campaign to raise awareness of health issues in the communities it serves. Its website offers advanced tools to make it easy for employees and employers to access the resources they need. The claims process is simplified through the Cigna Envoy website. Meanwhile, its new, personalized health and wellness app revolves around three pillars: access to care, manage care and change lifestyle. The app also offers recommended programs tailored to fit individual needs, as well as motivational and instructional videos.
More recently, Cigna launched the first-of-its-kind Stress Care initiative in the UAE to encourage residents to ‘See Stress Differently’ and to raise awareness about the long-term impact of stress as a known contributor to chronic diseases.
Cigna now has a team of over 300 employees servicing the Middle East business and a dedicated clinical team of doctors and nurses based in the region to support members with their healthcare requirements.
