Aster DM Healthcare has announced a capital investment of INR 580 crore to develop its fifth multi‑specialty hospital in Bengaluru. The forthcoming 500‑bed facility will be established in Yeshwanthpur, augmenting Aster’s total bed capacity in the city to 2,580 beds.
The new Yeshwanthpur hospital, planned on a five‑lakh‑sq‑ft greenfield site, will be constructed using Aster’s asset‑light Built‑to‑Suit (BTS) model. The company has secured a 30‑year lease agreement with Kemwell Pvt. Ltd., part of the Kemfin family office, with provisions for renewal. The facility is slated to become operational in the second half of fiscal 2028–29.
Strategically located, the Yeshwanthpur hospital will serve a catchment population of 3 to 4 million, drawing from established residential areas, industrial zones, tech parks and well‑connected transport corridors such as Tumkur Road, Outer Ring Road, Bellary Road and the Namma Metro’s Green Line, plus proximity to Yeshwanthpur Railway Junction.
Dr Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, commented that the Yeshwanthpur hospital “marks a significant milestone in Aster DM Healthcare’s India growth strategy, especially in a vibrant and rapidly evolving healthcare market like Bengaluru.” He further emphasized that the new facility reinforces Aster’s ambition to become one of the top three healthcare providers in Bengaluru, while expanding its presence across South India.
