India launches national tele-mental health program

The Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of India has formally launched this week its national tele-mental health program. Called Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking Across States (Tele-MANAS), it will provide free, round-the-clock teleconsultation service for mental health concerns. South Korean government to distribute location trackers to dementia care centers

The South Korean government is distributing over 2,500 location trackers to dementia care centers across the country to prevent wandering elderly patients with dementia from getting lost. The initiative is part of an ongoing public-private partnership between the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW), the National Police Agency (NPA), and local chip maker SK Hynix, which is providing funding worth 400 million won (around $250,000) each year from 2021 up to 2024 to the project.
